MORELLO LOVES TO SURPRISE WITH OPEN-MIC SHOWS

AUDIOSLAVE and RAGE AGAINST THE MACHINE star TOM MORELLO loves to surprise fans by taking to the stage at open-mic nights in between shows. The guitarist admits he has played hundreds of unannounced shows and loves to leave fans guessing it it's really him. He says, "We would be on these Audioslave arena tours and on a night off, I would look in the local paper and find an open-mic night, go down there completely anonymously, sign up, wait my turn and sing a couple of songs. The experience was terrifying to be naked with just an acoustic guitar. "There were enough of those nights that really felt like everybody's soul in the room was at stake and I knew this was something I had to pursue."
