MORE STARS SIGN UP FOR GEORGE LUCAS' WWII DRAMA
It has been 20 years in the offing, but it looks like GEORGE LUCAS' World War II film might actually happen.
CUBA GOODING JR, TERRENCE HOWARD and BRYAN CRANSTON have all added their names to the cast list of the project from the man behind Star Wars.
The film, which Lucas first conceived of back in the 1980s, tells the story of the Tuskegee Airman, the first African American fighter pilots in the US Army.
However, despite his interest in the project, Lucas put it on hold until technology had reached a stage where dogfights could be realistically portrayed.
Others signed up for the film include METHOD MAN, TRISTAN WILDS and ELIJAH KELLEY.
Anthony Hemingway, who cut his teeth on TV show The Wire, is set to direct filming which will start somewhere in Europe "soon".
Gooding will be hoping that the film does better than Daddy Day Camp which received a Razzie for worst prequel or sequel at this year's awards.
