HAPPY DAYS star ERIN MORAN missed out on a role in The Exorcist because of her strict parents. The actress was up for the role of possessed 12-year-old Regan MACNeil in the seminal horror movie, but was forced to turn down the part because her parents disapproved of the film's evil subject matter. She tells RetroCrush.com, "My mom said, 'You're not going to do this whether you get it or not.' "(My parents) were real strict. I went to a Catholic school for eight years." Linda Blair later won the role of MACNeil in the 1973 classic.
