MOORE GAVE UP MARRIAGE FOR HOLLYWOOD

Actress JULIANNE MOORE gave up on her nine year marriage to JOHN GOULD RUBIN in a bid to find fame.
The Hours star left Gould Rubin in 1995 and moved to Los Angeles to carve out an acting career.
But Moore never believed she would become a star because she was "too old for Hollywood".
She says "I was unhappy in my mid-thirties and trying to make it in movies. I thought 'It's now or never'.
"I left our home in New York and travelled nearly 3000 miles to Los Angeles to get a new life. I remember sitting on the plane thinking 'What on earth is going to happen to me?'."
Moore eventually won critical acclaim at the age of 33 for the 1995 movie Nine Months.
