MONTERO HEADING TO REHAB AFTER DRUG ARREST
Mexican singer PABLO MONTERO has reportedly checked into rehab after pleading innocent to cocaine possession charges in Florida.
Montero was arrested in South Beach, Miami on 31 August (07) and accused of drug possession, but, at a hearing on Friday (12Oct07), the singer's lawyer insisted his client is not guilty.
The 38-year-old, real name Oscar Daniel Hernandez, wasn't present in court.
His attorney, Howard M. Srebnick, has revealed the Florida Attorney General's office proposed Montero check in to a rehabilitation programme, "to get help."
Srebnick has suggested that the charges against the singer would be wiped from his record once he completed counselling.
The drug scandal comes just two weeks after Montero became a father to a baby boy, also called Pablo.
