MONTAG IN TEARS AFTER NEGATIVE REACTION TO VIDEO

U.S. reality TV star HEIDI MONTAG was inconsolable following the hostile response her debut pop music video received when it premiered last week (ends08Feb08). The promo for Higher, which sees Montag frolicking on a beach and was directed by her The Hills co-star and real-life boyfriend Spencer Pratt, has become the subject of much online ridicule. And Montag admits the negative response left her in floods of tears. She says, "I just started sobbing uncontrollably. I cried myself to sleep that first night after my video came out. "I just couldn't understand why people I didn't even know felt the need to be so cruel and hurtful toward me. I am just a 21-year-old from a small town in Colorado trying to follow her dreams."
