MONSTERS VS. ALIENS STORMS INTERNATIONAL BOX OFFICE

REESE WITHERSPOON's animated movie MONSTERS VS. ALIENS has hit the top spot in the international box office chart with earnings of $34.2 million (£23.4 million).
The movie, in which the Oscar winner voices a giant woman, scored the number one slot of the international charts outside of the U.S.ahead of Vin Diesel's Fast and Furious which took $30.1 million (£20.6 million).
Nicolas Cage's thriller Knowing took $8.6 million (£5.9 million) while Jennifer Aniston and Owen Wilson's family film Marley and Me fetched $6.7 million (£4.6 million).
Clint Eastwood's Gran Torino rounded out the top five with takings of $5.5 million (£3.4 million).
