MONKEYS PARTY IN THE DARK

The ARCTIC MONKEYS' delight at their London comeback show was short-lived - the power failed during their afterparty.
The British rockers played a hotly-anticipated show at the British capital's Brixton O2 Academy on Wednesday night (26Aug09), and later held a bash with celebrity guests including Australian singer Natalie Imbruglia.
But it turned into a shambles when the power cut out - forcing staff to serve food cold and use candles for light.
A source tells Britain's Daily Mirror newspaper, "The lads were on a high after their gig and wanted to celebrate. But a mass power cut thwarted their party plans. Organisers had to rush out for candles and serve the food cold. Chilled shepherd's pie may not be to everyone's liking but it went down a treat."
