MONKEYS HAPPY WITH TURNER'S SIDE PROJECT

British rockers ARCTIC MONKEYS insist they were happy when frontman ALEX TURNER launched his side project, THE LAST SHADOW PUPPETS.
The singer created the group with The Rascals rocker Miles Kane and the pair achieved a U.K. number one album, The Age of the Understatement, last year (08).
Turner and Kane then decided to return to their prospective groups, and Kane has since left The Rascals to go solo.
And the other Arctic Monkeys rockers are adamant they did not mind Turner taking time out to write songs for another band.
Guitarist Jamie Cook says, "I felt like I was in a kinky open relationship. Which, strangely enough, I felt mostly okay about - I didn't begrudge him his fun with someone else."
