MONKEYS FORCED OFF STAGE AT FESTIVAL

British rockers ARCTIC MONKEYS' live comeback was marred when they were forced to abandon the stage for ten minutes after their speakers blew up.
The band has spent much of the last year holed up at a New York recording studio working on their third album, Humbug.
They are set to play a series of European festivals and U.S. clubs throughout the summer (09) - but their return to the live stage on Thursday (02Jul09) was hindered by technical issues.
The Fluorescent Adolescent hitmakers were midway through their set at the Open'er festival in Gydnia, Poland when the speakers failed.
They continued to play on, unaware of any problems, but left the stage when officials announced there would be a short break. After ten minutes, the rockers returned and finished their set.
Frontman Alex Turner told the crowd, "I'm ever so sorry about that everybody. We didn’t realise."
