MONDAY LOOKED LIKE A SUMMER RERUN NIGHT
With many people involved in last-minute shopping and otherwise making preparations for the Christmas holiday, ratings for the broadcast networks on Monday resembled those for a typical summer night. Indeed, CBS treated the day pretty much like a day in July, airing a full slate of reruns. Nevertheless, it was able to win the night with an average 5.5 rating and a 9 share. Fox and NBC tied for second with a 4.5/6, while ABC placed fourth with an average 4.0/6. The highest-rated show of the night was the long-running CBS comedy Two and a Half Men , which posted a decent 7.4/12 from 9 00 p.m. to 9 30 p.m.
