MISSING MANICS STAR OFFICIALLY PRESUMED DEAD

The family of missing MANIC STREET PREACHERS rocker RICHEY EDWARDS have had him legally presumed dead - 13 years after he disappeared.
The troubled musician vanished from the Embassy Hotel in London on 1 February 1995. His car was later found abandoned at a service station near the Severn Bridge, in his native Wales, sparking fears he had committed suicide.
But his body was never found and his disappearance still remains a mystery.
Edwards' parents were given the option to have their son legally presumed dead seven years after he vanished, but they refused in the hope that he might one day be found alive.
But now the family has obtained a court order to release Edwards' personal estate of $683,985 (GBP455, 990) which has been reduced to $566,322 (GBP377,548) after liabilities.
The family's lawyer, David Ellis, has explained the legal move as "an acceptance that his affairs have to be sorted. That's not the same as an acceptance he's dead."
The remaining band members, James Dean Bradfield, Nicky Wire and Sean Moore, have been putting Edwards' music royalties into a bank account for him, in the hope that he will one day return to claim them.
