American rockers MY CHEMICAL ROMANCE have a surprise for fans on their new album - a cameo from LIZA MINNELLI. Minnelli agreed to lend her vocals to the track MAMA on LP THE BLACK PARADE for free. Frontman GERARD WAY explains, "My grandmother was a big Liza Minnelli fan. We needed someone that had a lot of character, someone that was very strong, sorrowful. "So we put a call in and she did it for free. She was so sweet and just nailed it right away. We never actually met, she was in New York, we were in LA, and we were just talking through this mixing board."
