MILLS TO PLAY A SOCCER WIFE?

HEATHER MILLS is being tipped to star in a new US TV drama about soccer players' wives. Television executives are keen to cash in on the rise in the sport's popularity stateside, following DAVID BECKHAM's move to major league team LA GALAXY, and create a new series inspired by popular UK show FOOTBALLERS' WIVES. A source at network ABC - home of DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES - tells British newspaper the Daily Express, "Soccer isn't as appreciated here as in the UK, but people are starting to take notice. We're keen to do something similar to Footballers' Wives. Soccer meets DYNASTY. "Heather has done a lot of US TV and she's someone we'd love for the show. "There was talk of her appearing in Desperate Housewives but if they don't want to know, then we do."
