MILLS DENIES 'CANCER' COMMENTS
SIR PAUL MCCARTNEY's ex-wife HEATHER MILLS has accused a British newspaper of fabricating quotes in a recent interview - insisting her controversial comments about cancer were all "lies".
Mills took aim at Britain's tabloid media in an interview which ran in The Observer at the weekend (18-19Jul09).
She was quoted as saying, "Certain journalists have written horrible things, and then they've got cancer, or they've had a tumour, or they've died. And it's terrible for them, but they've done really evil things. I truly believe things come back round."
But Mills insists she never made the comments - because she would never be so blase about such a deadly disease.
In a post on her Twitter.com page, the former glamour girl writes, "Having lost my best friend to breast cancer, I cannot believe anybody would believe the moronic so-called journalists who say this! Can I reiterate for the gullible that believe lies in the press, I have never said I hope anybody dies of cancer ever."
Mills has endured a volatile relationship with the press since her messy split from MCCartney in 2006.
She has accused the U.K. tabloid media of vilifying her, insisting she received "worse press than a paedophile or a murderer".
