MILLER TO TAKE TO WITNESS BOX IN FERRY CASE

Actress SIENNA MILLER is due to appear in court as a defence witness in a case against BRYAN FERRY's son OTIS. Otis, 24, is appearing in court on 27 November (07) to face criminal damages charges after preventing photographers from taking pictures of the Factory Girl star, 25, and his 21-yea-old brother, Isaac. The three were leaving London nightclub Boujis when Otis allegedly reached into a car where photographers Charlie Pycroft and Ben Brett were sitting, grabbed their keys and threw them away. Defence lawyer Paul Lucas says, "One of the defence witnesses (Miller) is by nature of her profession unable to guarantee her attendance on those two days. Under the circumstances, all I can say is ask that it be noted that we may have some difficulties and if we have difficulties we will communicate to the court." Otis, whose first brush with the law was in 2004 when he broke into the debating chamber in Parliament as part of a pro-hunt protest, was due to start his trial at West London magistrates court on Tuesday (28Aug07) but due to illness, the hearing has been adjourned.
