Miley Cyrus says she is terrible at dating because she is scared of hurting other people.

Miley Cyrus doesn't want to break hearts.

The 16-year-old singer-and-actress - who has most recently been romantically linked with 19-year-old actor Liam Hemsworth and previously dated model Justin Gatson and singer Nick Jonas - hates dating because she knows how easy it is to get hurt.

She said: "Oh, I'm not really good at dating. The whole game often ends with a broken heart. And I really know how much a broken heart hurts. I wouldn't do that to anyone."

Although she doesn't like dating, Miley says it is particularly hard for her because of the attention she attracts.

She said: "It's frustrating. Whenever I want to be alone with a boy the paparazzi follow us.

"Sometimes I would like to wear a wig - like Hannah Montana. Then I'd have a more private life for sure."

Miley previously insisted she was too busy focusing on her career to commit to a relationship.

She added to Germany's TV Digital magazine: "There are a lot of people I'm supposedly dating these days. But I'm just kicking it right now; I don't really have time for a huge relationship. There's no dude."

She did admit that apart from the intrusion in her private life she definitely had the "easiest job in the world".
