MIGUEL PULLS CONCERT DUE TO ECONOMIC CRISIS

Latino singer LUIS MIGUEL pulled the plug on his Monday night (13Oct08) concert at New York's Madison Square Garden, blaming the world economic crisis for lack of ticket sales.
Concert promoter Felix Cabrera has revealed he stood to lose as much as $400,000 (GBP216,200) if the gig went ahead as planned - due to poor ticket sales.
So, instead, he paid the $75,000 (GBP40,500) advance and scrapped the show.
Cabrera insists all concert promoters in New York are struggling to sell tickets as music fans start to count the cents.
He says, "Nobody's selling... They're all suspended."
