MICHAEL JACKSON'S 44K GLOVE

Michael Jackson's iconic white glove - which featured 50 tiny lights - was sold for £44,000 at the Profiles in History auction in Calabasas at the weekend.

One of Michael Jackson's iconic white gloves has sold for £44,000.

The late pop star's famous accessory - which he wore on his 1984 'Victory Tour' and which featured 50 tiny lights - sold for the huge sum at the Profiles in History auction in Calabasas, California, at the weekend.

As well as the lights - which were powered by a nine volt battery in the cuff and included a power switch - the white mitten also features bugle beads and Austrian crystal rhinestones.

The glove was created by Ted Shell for the 55-date concert run which was the last time the Jackson brothers toured together.

Several other memorable items belonging to Michael also went under the hammer.

One fan forked out £29,500 for a red V-neck jumper encrusted in rhinestones, which Michael sported during at the 1981 American Music Awards.

A yellow tie-dye shirt which he wore during a television appearance in 1971 sold for £11,000.

Meanwhile, Michael's three children - Prince Michael I, 12, Paris, 11, and seven-year-old Prince Michael II, also known as 'Blanket' - are raising money to help a two-legged puppy.

According to family friends, Prince Michael and Paris recently saw the dog, named Scooby-Roo, on a US TV show and were moved by the pooch's plight.

They are now reportedly trying to raise $2,000 to buy the mutt a custom-made cart to make it easier for Scooby-Roo to get around.

For this site to state the jackson kids are raising money to help a mutt is insulting to not only his children but to the puppy , whats wrong with this i got my name why i own a dog kennel do you all think an animal control man could not pronounce my first name an gave me this name why im a kennel owner of some really fine hog dogs an dogs i help who have no wheres to go i think these children feel the puppies blight an i see nothing wrong with this at all, at least they maybe wont be afraid of dogs an puppies like their dad did maybe if michael would of had dogs he might not of been in fear like he was dogs are great for companionship an protection, i have many dogs an my personel dog on command i can make him hurt some one if i need to i trained him for protection purposes he wont hurt puppies at all he mothers them i think michaels mom should allow michaels children to have a dog an if they choose to help this puppy then this needs to be their choice,an this site better wake up to the fact their is a lot more dog lovers out their than one thinks, their words should of been better than calling this puppy a mutt the terminology is incorrect an it does not matter if this pup is a purebred or not it took mutts to make pure breds an pure breds to make mutts,it took many different breeds of dogs to make purebreds that are shown in akc ( american kennel club) an ukc(united kennel club) dog shows today i read it once an go the impression this site dont like puppies nor dogs or was this the reporters view? if you dont like them dont write about them let some one else do it who has a littl more compassion for the animal in question if this pup is missing its limbs at birth this is a genetic defect an breeders in both the akc an ukc breed to steer clear of these problems, they breed for quality not quanity, this reproters smart remarks i did not like at all!
