METCALFE DENIES I'M A CELEBRITY... APPEARANCE

Former DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES star JESSE METCALFE has slammed rumours he is set to take part in British reality series I'M A CELEBRITY... GET ME OUT OF HERE!, insisting he wouldn't participate in the "humiliating" show.
Reports over the weekend (19Oct08) suggested Metcalfe would appear as a contestant in the TV programme when it begins next month (Nov08).
The competition sees a group of celebrities live in the jungle for several weeks with only basic necessities, earning their food and little luxuries in a series of challenging tasks.
But Metcalfe has denied the reports, saying, "I'm against reality shows. I find them very exploitative. I don't think they're that cool."
However, the star hasn't ruled out appearing on a reality show "in the later stages of my career, if ever I needed some money."
