MELUA TO GO BALD AFTER CHOKING ON HAIR

Singer KATIE MELUA wants to follow in the footsteps of SINEAD O'CONNOR and shave her head - because she chokes on her hair during gigs.
The Closest Thing to Crazy hitmaker was playing a show in Sweden recently when her flowing locks flicked into her mouth and made her gag in the middle of a song.
So she plans to hack off all her hair to avoid a repeat of the incident.
Melua, who is due to play a huge show at London's O2 Arena next month (Nov08), says, "I swallowed a piece of my hair while I was singing a song called Scary Films and couldn't breathe. I had to try and carry on singing while getting the hair out of my mouth without anyone noticing and it wasn't very nice.
"I guess it's an occupational hazard when you have long hair hanging down over your face, but I'm seriously thinking about shaving it all off like Sinead O'Connor."
