MELUA HALTS GIG OVER OLD LADY FIGHT

KATIE MELUA halted her gig in Los Angeles on Monday night (04May09) after two elderly ladies began fighting in the front row.
The 24-year-old singer was performing at the city's Montage Hotel in front of an audience of press and fan club members when the spat broke out right in front of her.
The battling pensioners had to be separated by security guards.
Melua admits she was shocked by the incident: "I can imagine that sort of thing happening at the back of a rock concert. But who would have thought it from two old ladies at one of my gigs!"
