MELLON BUYS $20 MILLION NEW YORK CONDO

CHRISTIAN SLATER's girlfriend TAMARA MELLON has a new footing in New York - she has paid $20 million (GBP10.8million) for a home in the city.
The Jimmy Choo founder - who has been linked to Kid Rock, Girls Gone Wild mogul Joe Francis, and Pharrell Williams - closed a deal earlier this week (beg08Sep08) on a 10-room condominium in Carhart mansion in the city's Upper East Side.
According to real-estate listings, the 7,140-square-foot duplex penthouse remains unfinished, with plans for five bedrooms, four bathrooms, two powder rooms, six terraces, maid's quarters and a solarium.
As WENN went to press, neither Mellon nor her broker, Jeff Lorenz, could be reached for comment.
