SPICE GIRL MELANIE CHISHOLM has hailed her child-bearing bandmates, insisting combining motherhood with a career is true "girl power". More than 10 years after the Wannabe group first burst onto the scene with a call-to-arms for girls around the world, Sporty Spice claims the message is still relevant. And childless Chisholm holds up Spice Mums Geri Halliwell, Melanie Brown, Victoria Beckham and Emma Bunton as proof of hard-working modern women. She says, "Girl power has always been there. We were very lucky to champion it through the '90s. It was there before us and it will never go away. "It's really nice to come back and the girls are really proud to say they are working mums. Bringing up kids and working is tough. That's what girl power is all about."
