MEAT LOAF RECONCILES WITH STEINMAN

MEAT LOAF has made peace with long term songwriting partner JIM STEINMAN after a bitter bust-up over the singer's recent Bat Out Of Hell III album. The pair fell out because Steinman wasn't involved in the album, despite it featuring a number of songs he had written. They then clashed in court over the use of the title, which Steinman had registered as a trademark in 1995. The 59-year-old rocker insists he and Steinman have reconciled and are planning a new project together. He says, "Our relationship is good. I really want to work with Jim on another project. I spoke to his lawyer recently and he says he does too." Meat Loaf explains why Steinman didn't take part in the 2006 album, "He was ill. He had had a series of small strokes and needed therapy. I began to doubt if he would be able to do it. I didn't want to sit around for a year and a half to find out he couldn't do it. "It was a little selfish on my part because I want to get it done."
