MCQUEEN'S GRANDSON VOWS TO BE HIS OWN MAN

Actor STEVEN R. MCQUEEN is determined not to follow the same path as his famous namesake grandfather. The 19-year-old, who is currently starring in Disney sci-fi TV show Minutemen, was named after the Bullitt legend and hopes to become as famous as the late star, but in his own right. MCQueen Jr. says, "People expect me to be just like my grandfather, and I see similarities, but I'm really a different guy, so I choose roles that are different from what he would have played." MCQueen died in 1980, aged 50, after suffering a heart attack following lung surgery.
