MCMAHON SETTLES SECOND LAWSUIT OVER 2007 FALL
Beloved U.S. TV personality ED MCMAHON has settled a lawsuit relating to a 2007 fall which left him with a broken neck - just a day before the case was due to go to trial.
The former Tonight Show sidekick sued homeowners Robert and Kelly Days after slipping and falling on a staircase at the couple's Los Angeles home two years ago.
He took legal action for compensation over the "unsafe" stairs - and the lawsuit was due to be heard by a Los Angeles County Superior Court judge last Friday (22May09).
But the case was dismissed last Thursday (21May09) after the two parties reached an agreement out of court, reports TMZ.com.
The news comes just weeks after MCMahon settled a lawsuit stemming from the same incident with doctors at L.A.'s Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, after alleging they misdiagnosed his neck fracture.
Details about both settlements have not been made public.
