MCMAHON RAPS AWAY MONEY WORRIES IN ONLINE CREDIT AD
Former TONIGHT SHOW star ED MCMAHON is hitting back at his financial woes with humour - he stars as a rapper in a new advert telling the U.S. public how to avoid bad credit.
The 85-year-old has been hired by a company which sells credit rating data in America and will star in a string of internet ads as a hip-hop lyricist.
The commercials are set to launch online next month (Oct08).
The beloved former sidekick of Tonight Show host Johnny Carson has faced a series of financial setbacks thanks to the U.S. property market meltdown earlier this year (08).
In February (08) MCMahon's mortgage lenders filed notice of default and he was threatened with foreclosure. He is also being sued for $275,000 (GBP137,500) for fees relating to his daughter's divorce.
