MCLACHLAN AND HUSBAND SPLITTING

Singer SARAH MCLACHLAN is splitting from her husband of 11 years ASHWIN SOOD - who is also the drummer in her band.
The Canadian star had no intention of announcing the split, but realised she couldn't hide their separation - as two songs on her upcoming album detail her heartbreak.
She says, "I'm separating from my husband, so these are the songs about that.
"I wasn't planning on saying anything but it's gonna come out at some point. I haven't said anything about it because I've been terrified to, but I figure... there's no good time to say it, so I just said it."
U Want Me 2 and Don't Give Up On Us will feature on her forthcoming greatest hits LP Closer: The Best of Sarah MCLachlan.
The couple - who have two daughters, Ann Sushil, six, and Taja Summer, 14 months - have not elaborated on reasons for their separation.
