MCKENZIE'S SOUTHLAND CANCELLED
Actor BEN MCKENZIE's cop drama SOUTHLAND has been cancelled - just weeks after his former THE O.C. castmate MISCHA BARTON's show suffered the same fate.
Production on Southland has been shut down just six episodes into its second season - but producer John Wells is hopeful another U.S. network will pick up the NBC show.
He says, "I'm disappointed that NBC no longer has the time periods available to support the kind of critically-acclaimed series that was for so many years, a hallmark of their success. We remain extremely proud of Southland and are actively looking for another home for the series."
Barton's new drama The Beautiful Life, which was created by Ashton Kutcher, was cancelled after just two episodes last month (Sep09).
