MCCREADY'S MOTHER CONFIRMS CLEMENS AFFAIR

LATEST: MINDY MCCREADY's mother has confirmed reports her daughter had an affair with baseball ace ROGER CLEMENS, insisting the pair were an "off and on" couple.
Earlier this week (begs28Apr08), the sportsman denied having an inappropriate relationship with MCCready - who was reportedly under the age of consent when it began - while the country singer admitted to a ten-year romance.
Now MCCready's mother, Melody Inge, has come forward to back up her daughter's claims.
Inge tells People magazine, "They came by here one morning and we had breakfast together.
"She went to ball games and I know she went to Las Vegas with him."
She adds that while Clemens was close to her daughter, and had even sent her money in the past, Inge had "never heard her say she was in love with him.
"I only knew her to be in love once and that was with (former fiance) Dean Cain."
The New York Daily News broke a story on Monday (28Apr08) alleging Clemens enjoyed a ten-year affair with MCCready, which began when he was 28 and married with two children, and she was underage.
