MCCONAUGHEY'S MALES MAKE HIM A BETTER MAN

MATTHEW MCCONAUGHEY values cyclist LANCE ARMSTRONG and his "fraternity" of male pals, because their time together makes him a better man. The movie hunk insists men need guy time together just like women need gossip sessions and nights out. He explains, "Men need male friends, whether it's card night, going to the game, going for a run. I have great male friends and I need their friendship. "When I get together with my guy friends, we end up talking about how we can be the best men possible... It's crucial for men to fraternise like that." And MCConaughey admits his friendship with Tour De France champion Armstrong is particularly special. He tells Men's Health magazine, "We have positive and deliberate approaches to life and we're both working to be the best men we can be."
