MCCARTNEY'S BRITS TRIBUTE TO LINDA
SIR PAUL MCCARTNEY used his performance at the Brit Awards on Wednesday (20Feb08) night to pay a loving tribute to his late first wife LINDA. The former Beatle collected the Outstanding Contribution to Music prize at the London ceremony and brought the show to a close with a medley of his hits. And during the finale performance, MCCartney sensationally snubbed his estranged wife Heather Mills by excluding her from a video montage of his life, which featured numerous images of his beloved Linda, who lost her battle with breast cancer in 1998. But MCCartney reveals his choice of tracks for the set was also poignant. He explains, "Live And Let Die is the song that reminds me of Linda. Hey Jude reminds me of John (Lennon, Beatles bandmate)." MCCartney is currently locked in a bitter divorce battle with former glamour model Mills. The couple has a four-year-old daughter, Beatrice, together.

I just finished watching the Brits. His performances were AMAZING!!! And yes, I was
moved by how much attention was given to his career with Wings and his life with
Linda. It was so sweet. (By the way, Heather-Paul's adopted daughter with Linda)
looks so much like her mother, it's crazy. Just like seeing her is having Linda present
in a way. Yet, the same can be said for all her kids.
So sweet, and so appropriate. The Lovely Linda was his soulmate, a partner in his
life thru good and bad, and the one love of his life
