MCCARTNEY SCHOOLBOY PICTURE SET FOR AUCTION
A previously unseen photograph of SIR PAUL MCCARTNEY as a schoolboy is set to be sold at an auction later this month (Aug09).
The Beatles legend was snapped in a picture with classmates from the Joseph Williams School in Liverpool, England in 1952.
The future rocker strikes a humorous pose by burying his head in a comic book and pretending to look disinterested while the rest of the youngsters look directly at the camera.
The image, expected to make up to $2,250 (£1,500), will go under the hammer alongside hundreds of other items of Beatles memorabilia on 29 August (09).
Another photo up for auction shows a young MCCartney wearing a shirt and tie for a pal's birthday party, while a snap from 1993 depicts MCCartney and his late wife Linda posing on a pair of mountain bikes.
The auction will also include school photographs of Beatles drummer Ringo Starr at age eight and a 17-year-old John Lennon.
