MCCAIN MEETING INSPIRES PERRY TO CONSIDER A POLITICAL FUTURE
AEROSMITH star JOE PERRY is considering a future career in politics after meeting former presidential candidate JOHN MCCAIN.
The rocker, who endorsed MCCain's failed bid for the presidency, got the chance to meet the Republican during a trip to Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C. on Thursday (24Sep09) - and he was very impressed with the Arizona Senator.
He says, "I felt better about politics in general after meeting him."
And Perry insists the meeting has made him think about a political future: "I could see changing things up a little. I've been playing rock and roll for a long time now, and if California can have actors for politicians, then maybe the rest of the country can have musicians."
