MCADAMS SLAMS PUBLIC INTEREST IN NUDE SCENES
Hollywood actress RACHEL MCADAMS is baffled by the overwhelming interest in movie nude scenes - insisting public pressure makes actors "nervous" about stripping off on screen.
The Notebook star is convinced getting naked for a role should be considered a part of the job, but admits many stars try their best to avoid baring all over fears the shots will end up on the internet.
And MCAdams blames today's celebrity-obsessed culture for scaring actors away from controversial naked scenes.
She tells Parade magazine, "When you're playing a fictional character, it's (being naked) as normal and mundane as eating breakfast.
"What bothers me is our culture's obsession with nudity. It shouldn't be a big deal, but it is. I think this overemphasis with nudity makes actors nervous. There's the worry about seeing one's body dissected, misrepresented, played and replayed on the Internet."
