MC HAMMER WON'T FALL VICTIM TO REALITY TV CURSE

Rapper MC HAMMER is confident his family is strong enough to defeat the curse of reality TV shows - because the cameras only highlight problems that are already in existence.
The U Can't Touch This hitmaker, real name Stanley Burrell, launches his Hammertime show on U.S. TV network A&E on Sunday (14Jun09).
The programme will follow the ordained minister, his wife and their seven kids around their Oakland, California home.
And Hammer is sure his family will remain intact after the cameras stop rolling - because his home life is fully functional.
He says, "I don't think that families become dysfunctional, I think the family's like that in real life. The cameras are only a reflection of the life.
"There's no way that over a course of two months the family is suddenly dysfunctional. My position is that the work was done before the cameras came in."
Reality TV couples like Nick Lachey and Jessica Simpson, Britney Spears and Kevin Federline, and Hulk Hogan and Linda Bollea all filed for divorce soon after their reality shows wrapped and Ozzy Osbourne's family suffered through rehab at the height of their hit show The Osbournes.

Maybe there is just no curse on A&E because Gene Simmons doesn't seem to have a problem either. Gene Simmons Family Jewels just entered its 4th Season and is going strong. I'm sure Hammer will have the same luck!
