MAY WANTS DEPP TO PLAY MERCURY
QUEEN guitarist BRIAN MAY is backing JOHNNY DEPP to play late frontman FREDDIE MERCURY in an upcoming biopic.
The surviving members of the band - May, ROGER TAYLOR and JOHN DEACON - are all involved in the project which will tell the life story of the WE WILL ROCK YOU singer, who died of an AIDS-related illness in 1991.
May says, "Discussions are at an early stage. Johnny Depp is fantastic. He would be a worthy counterpart for Freddie on screen."

I don't know. Mercury was a great singer. Could Johnny
hit the high notes...
I'd like to see Johnny play Jim Morrison or Mick Jagger. :-)
Mary
I think Johnny will do real good job to play Mercury, but that is up to Johnny.
