MATT DILLON CHARGED WITH SPEEDING

Actor Matt Dillon has been charged with speeding in the States.

Reports claim the 44-year-old was pulled over by police in Vermont on Tuesday for allegedly driving at 106 mph, in a 65 mph limit.

It is claimed he was driving a rented car at the time.

Dillon is due to appear in court on January 21st after being released from custody.

His publicist has declined to comment but police spokeswoman Sergeant Tara Thomas said Vermont State police were treating Dillon like anyone else.

The actor has appeared in a number of high-profile films and was nominated for an Oscar for his performance in Crash.
