MASSIVE CROWD TURNS OUT FOR AMY WINEHOUSE
A crowd of thousands saw Amy Winehouse's strongest show of the summer at Bestival.
Winehouse was 45 minutes late, but turned up, unlike at Rock en Seine in Paris earlier this week.
Although the singer had little of her usual interaction with the crowd, she was in full voice and finished with hits Back to Black, Love is a Losing Game and You Know I'm No Good.
Earlier, the Specials and Grace Jones appeared as surprised guests.
The festival has suffered from the heavy rain that has been battering Britain over the weekend.
On his blog, organiser Rob da Bank said there are rumours on the internet that the main stage has sunk.
He reassured fans: "The truth is much more simple we had some heavy rain, there's some mud onsite, quite a bit in places but we're open, everyone's having a ball and the spirit of Bestival is alive and well."
