MASSACRE DIRECTOR TO TACKLE CONAN REMAKE
THE TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE director MARCUS NISPEL has given the CONAN THE BARBARIAN remake a boost by signing on to replace BRETT RATNER.
Ratner became the latest moviemaker to pass on the film after he reportedly pulled out of the project last year (08) due to scheduling conflicts.
The film, now called simply Conan, is set to start shooting in Bulgaria and South Africa later this year (09).
The cast for the new movie has yet to be announced. Arnold Schwarzenegger portrayed the barbarian in the original 1982 movie.
