MASON AND SLASH TEACHING SCHOOL OF ROCK
PINK FLOYD drummer NICK MASON and former GUNS N' ROSES guitarist SLASH are headed to band camp - to give advice and guidance to budding rock stars.
The rockers are taking part in the second annual Rock 'n' Roll Fantasy camp in London, where they will give tips, eat and rehearse for 10 hours a day with 42 paying fans and wannabe musicians.
The six-day event, which began on Tuesday (04Nov08), is being held at the Abbey Road studios, made famous by the Beatles, and will end on Sunday (09Nov08) with a showcase at the Cavern Club in Liverpool, England.
Mason says, "I feel quite passionate about anything that encourages people in music. They (the students) all rise to the occasion, it's fantastic.
"Playing music is just great fun. It's a terrific thing to do, and in this environment you're just doing it for fun. You don't have any musical differences."
