MARY POPPINS SCORES 11 NOMINATIONS AT OUTER CRITICS CIRCLE AWARDS

Hit musical MARY POPPINS has netted 11 nominations for next month's (May07) Outer Critics Circle Awards, including Best Broadway Musical. The production, based on the 1964 movie of the same name, is also nominated for Best New Score, Best Director Of A Musical and Best New Score while its stars Gavin Lee and Ashley Brown picked up Best Actor and Best Actress nods respectively. Elsewhere, Tom Stoppard play The Coast Of Utopia scored nine nominations, including Best Broadway Play, where it is up against Coram Boy, Frost/Nixon and Radio Golf. The Outer Critics Circle Awards are seen as a pointer to how the Tony Awards will turn out. This year's ceremony takes place on 24 May in New York.
