MARTIN TO LEAVE LAW + ORDER

JESSE L. MARTIN is to leave hit U.S. cop show LAW + ORDER after nine years on the programme. The actor will film one more episode of the long-running drama, in which his character Detective Ed Green will be written out. He will be replaced by Anthony Anderson, who previously appeared in spin-off show Law + Order: SVU. Martin will next be seen portraying singer Marvin Gaye in a forthcoming biopic of his life, which is expected to start shooting later this year (08).
