MARTIN REFUSED ACCESS TO ROOFTOP PARTY

COLDPLAY's U.S. tour started on a sour note for frontman CHRIS MARTIN when he was refused access to a pre-show party.
The British rocker's name wasn't on the list for a rooftop bash at the Thompson Beverly Hills hotel on Saturday night (12Jul08), and doormen failed to recognise the singer.
Martin had to sit by an elevator while friends attempted to explain to party hosts that a famous rock star had been refused access to the event.
A source tells Eonline.com, "Everyone's like, `This is the lead singer of Coldplay.' The security man wasn't rude, but he just asked him if he was on the list."
The mix up was quickly resolved and Martin was allowed to party with his friends.
Coldplay performed in Los Angeles on Monday night (14Jul08).
