MARTIN: 'PRESSURE IMPROVES MY WRITING SKILLS'
COLDPLAY frontman CHRIS MARTIN thrives in a deadline driven atmosphere - because it makes him a better writer. The singer, 30, admits he is under immense pressure to finish the band's forthcoming album - working title Prospekt - in time for its release next year (08). But Martin is secretly enjoying intense studio sessions, because it is providing inspiration for new material. He writes on his blog, "The self-imposed deadline looms and new songs have arrived. Famous Old Painters + Glass of Water. It's as if the pressure is a catalyst. The pressure to finish has triggered a new writing surge. "However, the deadline still stands."
