MARTHA WAINWRIGHT'S JEALOUS PAST
Canadian folk musician MARTHA WAINWRIGHT admits she regularly suffered from jealously over her brother RUFUS' musical success when she first started out. The WHEN THE DAY IS SHORT singer, 30, admits that she found it tough when her brother, with whom she used to perform, started to enjoy increasing success as a singer in his own right. She says, "A lot of people were really excited about Rufus as an artist. "But, of course, it wasn't all great. There was plenty of jealousy on my part. It would come up when we'd get drunk and we'd fight."
