MARSALIS LANDS TOP FRENCH HONOUR
Jazz great WYNTON MARSALIS is to receive France's highest cultural prize, the Legion d'honneur.
The award will be presented to the 48-year-old jazz musician in a ceremony at the Cultural Services of the French Embassy in New York on 6 November (09).
It's the latest in a long line of accolades for the Grammy Award-winning trumpeter and composer, who won the Pulitzer Prize in music in 1997.
