MAROULIS LANDS ROCK OF AGES

AMERICAN IDOL star CONSTANTINE MAROULIS has landed the lead in the Broadway musical ROCK OF AGES.
The singer turned down the lead role in the touring version of the show three years ago to concentrate on his solo career.
But he'll rock on as struggling musician Dean in the stageshow, when it hits Broadway next week (beg20Oct08).
The show boasts classic rock anthems by acts like Poison, Journey, Ratt and Twisted Sister.
Maroulis tells Billboard.com, "When we learned that it was going to be coming to New York officially, of course we were very interested.”
