MARLEY & ME TOPS INTERNATIONAL BOX OFFICE
JENNIFER ANISTON's family film MARLEY & ME has edged out comic book adaptation WATCHMEN to grab the top spot in the international box office charts.
The movie, co-starring Owen Wilson, grabbed $13.9 million (£9.8 million) in 34 territories, taking its overall earnings outside of the U.S. to $51 million (£36 million).
Superhero film Watchmen, starring Billy Crudup and Jeffrey Dean Morgan, took second spot, garnering $13.5 million (£9.5 million) from 54 markets outside the States.
Clint Eastwood's Gran Torino took the third spot, with takings of $11.4 million (£8 million) in 27 territories.
Dragonball Evolution came in fourth with a $10.1 million (£7.1 million) weekend take, while Confessions of a Shopaholic rounded out the top five, with $6.1 million (£4.3 million) from 24 markets.
